Who Is Perig Vennetier?

My name is Perig Vennetier. I am a 28 year old guy from France who moved to the US for an Optical Engineering job. I have been an engineer since I graduated. This is something I always wanted to do. I have an imaginative mind and I really like the challenges and goals of doing very technical things, putting systems in place and creating new products.

After 4 years in the US, I made my way through two companies and I still enjoy very much what I am doing. In the meantime, I got involved in Network Marketing. This is actually pretty common, especially in the Silicon Valley, where I currently live. I have met many engineers who experienced changes in their lives (loss of job, wanted to experience something radically different) and decided to get involved in Network Marketing. Or simply, they wanted to supplement their income with a part time business.

This is me. I have a comfortable job that I really like, but I also know that everybody should have a Plan B. Having a home-based business makes it perfect for me to build a secondary asset for my life and generate a residual income for my future.

However, make no mistake. This is not a hobby. It is a serious business and doing it part time doesn’t mean doing it only half seriously.

The Beginning

As an engineer from France where Network Marketing is only in its infant stage, I had no clue of what Network Marketing was all about and what was required of me. A very good friend of mine introduced a company to me and I jumped in almost immediately. The concept sounded awesome. Do the work once and get paid for it month after month. I could do that!

I tried the products and loved them. I got plugged in the company, got my own replicated website and started to talk to my friends and family. Some decided to try the products. Some decided to have a look at the business opportunity. None joined my business! I was super excited, why nobody else was? So I asked my upline. They were very successful, they must know why it was not working and what I should do!

Well, it turned out that they told me that what I was doing is what I was supposed to do. Prospect, present, prospect, present. Talk to people I meet about my business. Expend my network. Find new people to talk to. Give away fliers and brochures about the products and the business opportunity. So I agreed, I got myself motivated and tried that.

A few months later, I didn’t really see any results. I was spending so much time (and money) running all over the place without seeing any return. This was just a big prospecting lottery. I was told to play the numbers game. Talk to 100 people, one will join you…

I tried, but to be totally honest, this is not my character. I was starting to become someone I didn’t like. I didn’t like to be sold to. So I didn’t like to push my business or products down the throat of unaware people.

I figured that there must be a better way to build this business. I am a very technical person so to make this business work, I had to find a better way to do it.

My aha Moment

So, since that day, I have been on a quest to find better ways to build my business. I have been fortunate to come across some wonderful teachers and as a result I have now a clear vision of how I could build my business and find people who are ready to learn how to build their business using the Internet.

My big ha-ha moment was when I learned that instead of promoting my company and products I should promote myself, as a person of knowledge, someone who can help other succeed. People want to learn how to succeed in Network Marketing. In my opinion, the company and the products are important but the mentor, the sponsor is the critical ingredient of a successful network marketing business.

I have always been attracted to the Internet. However, when I was growing up, I always saw it as a big recreation network and an awfully addictive procrastination tool. If someone would have told me a few years ago that I would be using it to promote my Network Marketing Business, I would have called them crazy, yet here I am today, loving every minute of it and using its many secrets. Strange how our focus and point of view can change when we take the time to look at it from another angle.

As a last word, I want to let you know that I am a real person. I am not a Network Marketing guru not do I pretend to be. I am a very accessible person and I help everybody who ask for it, even if the person is not in my Network Marketing company because I know that everybody in this business is trying to reach their dream. This is what it is all about.

To make myself 100% transparent, I do not make hundred of thousands of dollars a month with this business but I am growing at a reasonable pace sticking to my business plan and  I know how to have it working and actually make it happen. I not only have the knowledge but I have the applied knowledge.
