What a waste of time and a productivity killer!

Obviously you will want to turn Skype off completely (along with emails, IM, etc.) when you do your daily income producing activities but if you need to stay connected to your team you got to limit your distraction by it.

I have this very simple Skype tip today that will allow you to limit the distraction associated with it by removing the little icon to pop up all the time.

Skype Productivity Tip

1. Choose a group/conversation you are part of in the “Conversation Tab”.

2. Go to the menu Conversation > Notification Settings

3. In the IM notification settings window you can use the “Do not notify me” if you want to totally remove notifications. Personally I use the third option “Notify me only if these words are mentioned“. And then I put my name in the box.

This way I do not get notified all the time but I will get a notification when someone mention me in a message. My name will be highlighted and it’ll be easy to focus on responding to the right questions.

This is a simple tip but I have not seen anyone talk about this and I am sure many people will love to be free of this crazy wiggling icon taking your focus away.

No more reason for not being productive!

Some may read this and say WOW. I mean, I am always praising content marketing and blogging. But it’s true. I would not recommend it “if you goal is to sponsor a couple of people fast in your first 30 days“. If your goal is to prepare for long term mlm leads flow to your marketing funnel, yes content marketing is the way to go but not for fast sponsoring and fast money.

Instead I would focus on one thing and one thing only, and I know Ray Higdon will agree with me on this:

Get MLM Leads Fast with PROSPECTING

That’s right, the only way to get MLM leads FAST and find new people to have a look at your opportunity is by prospecting.

That can be online, it doesn’t have to be offline with your friends and family. Offline is most likely the fastest but if you do not have the network it can lead to nowhere.

Online, one place, hands down: Facebook

But you got to do it right.

A few things you do NOT want to do:

• Send unsolicited links: This says “spammer”.
• Tag people in everything you do: Only tag people in personalized messages or videos.
• Blast sales pitch on everyone’s wall: Another thing spammers and newbies like to do.
• Post sales pitch on your wall for that matter: You’ll look like an amateur. People do not do business with amateurs.
• Do not hype anything: Say things the way they are and stay yourself. People like real people.

And you must always keep in mind  that people on Facebook have seen all of the above from marketers that did not really know what they were doing so they will be very skeptical and have their guard up. MLM leads with guard up is not good for you. Your only role is to gain their trust, show them you are a professional, that you work with professionals.

Fastest primary business MLM leads

Where to find people that might have an interest in what you do? Here is a list of where to find people to talk to you can use, from places I think will be the fastest to places where it will take more time to get people interested:

1. Internet Marketing System: My Lead System Pro, Magnetic Sponsoring, Renegade Professional. You cannot do more targeted than this!
2. Guru Pages: Mike Dillard, Jonathan Budd, Mike Klingler, etc. Like minded individuals.
3. MLM Companies Pages: Amway, Shaklee, Isagenix, Monavie, etc. (focus on the one some of your new team members were in before, gives you leverage: “this guy was in ABC company before and just joined our team because…”
4. Entrepreneurs Pages: People who like and comments on updates from Robert Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy, Dale Carnegie, Dani Johnson, Tony Rob etc.
5. Tough Sectors: Local CPAs, real estate people, etc.

What To Say?

Your only goal to find good mlm leads is to build relationship, connect and find out if the person you are talking to has a dream. Find out their dream, and find out if THEY believe what they are doing will get them the dream they have. 99% of people will tell you that what they do will not allow them to reach their dreams.

You know have an open door and an attentive person!

But don’t fall for the “let me pitch you my stuff” mistake. Once you have their dream, find out if they have drive. You must find people that will do something about their status and have this will to change their situations. Those are the people you want in your team.

So keep asking questions, it’s not time for your presentation link yet. Ask them if they have a plan. Ask them if they have looked at something else. Ask them about their schedule, do they have time to dedicate, or better, would they dedicate serious time if they found something that would allow them to get to their dream… More questions, more question, more questions… The more questions you asked, the “hotter” or qualified your MLM leads will become…

Once you have enough information, you got to ask their permission to share your “project”.

This is very important because when they, themselves, agree to have you send them your link, you can be certain they will at least look at what you send to them!

Send your presentation link and refrain from answering any company specific question before they see the presentation. Then follow up as soon as possible but don’t be overly in their face. Be firm and make sure you show them you want them to be decisive. You want a Yes or a No but never agree to a “Maybe“.

That’s it!

It’s that simple. Just do it every day for 100 days in a row and there is no way you won’t get super qualified MLM leads and have people look at your company presentation. Most people are always open for new ideas, new ways to make money but only if they see you are a professional and if they see you can lead them to their dreams!

7 simple tips for successful MLM Coaching

1. Adapt to your team members

Not all new reps will actually do the required work. Some might be excited to join but will not do the required consistent actions everyday. You might be hungrier than some and that’s OK, not everyone focus as much as you do. So make sure you accept everyone based on their “will” and give advice accordingly but do not waste time on tire kickers!

2. Lead but do not manage

A leader do not do tech support, they do not do $2/hour work for their members. A leader must show members through MLM coaching that they themselves do what makes money and not waste time with non productive activities. So focus on what makes sense and get results! When you produce and results, show them how you did it and enable them to duplicate them do not do the work for them or you will instill a feeling of entitlement. You got to instill leadership and initiative in them instead.

3. Differentiate your members

This might sound harsh but you are here to make money after all. So spend more time with the producers, the hungry people! It will be far more productive and will get you a lot more results to spend 10 hours with 1 mover that 1 hour with 10 that do not want to do what toy tell them to do… Of course do no ignore people who are just getting started, but help them an automated way, with recorded training or training courses. My Lead System Pro has outstanding training, plug your new members in the system until you create your own training. It will duplicate fantastically and save your hours by sorting the serious one from the rest.

4. Focus on income producing activities

Your #1 priority during your MLM coaching sessions is to make sure to focus on income producing activities to turn your team members into profit ASAP. Online marketing is not fast or is not cheap. Have the right expectations for your members. Have them focusing on interacting with others and create relationships. Have them invite, follow up and close as many people as possible as fast as possible and there is no way they will not sponsor new people either in the marketing system (and make a commission) or their primary company (and build a bigger team)

5. Enable open discussions and discover what the tough problems of your members are

Where is the problem, the difficulties in the income producing activities? Is it in the inviting, follow up or closing step? Help improve those areas and the results will improve. If you need to focus on helping new people on how to generate leads, make sure you can to it as automated as possible and use your time helping in activities that will grow their team or make them money (generating leads do not make us money after all).

6. Be honest with yourself and your team

Most people have a tendency to avoid the reality of what they are really doing to grow their business and pretend ot be busy building. But do they really do productive activities or are they just spinning their wheels. You have to make sure they are honest with you and with themselves about what they do and you must encourage honesty in your team. An open and honest discussion will always produce better resulted and more focused action plan.

7. Ask your team members to record their conversations be it on the phone or online

Schedule some MLM coaching time to listen and review the conversations and coach on those, improve those and the results will improve. Inviting, following up and closing are the money skills so focus on improving those and you will explode your team.

MLM coaching is not that hard…

Overall, those tips are not that tough to implement. They will require some focus and some dedication but aren’t we in this business because we are dedicated to our and to other people success and dreams?

So while we were having the webinar I got a gentleman emailing me, asking me for my link to join the team. So far so good. But when we started talking he said it was “too expensive” to “buy“…

Add I think this shift of focus happens to me because it goes toward my strong side and I unconsciously try to avoid what is uncomfortable to me, what I might not know too well how to do.

So I made the conscious decision that this will be where I will be spending most of my time from now on.

I listened to a training by my good friend Rob Fore. Rob is an outstanding marketer and a great person overall and he has such a strong life story that he can give other some incredible insights about what it means to have a dream and why starting to live your dream TODAY is so important.
